Imagine what you could do

Some videos pull you in. Others just sit there. The difference is a sequence.

The real barrier

Filming yourself?
Stop winging it and
film in sequences.

Filming yourself can feel embarrassing and cringe, especially if you're figuring it out as you go. It takes longer than it should. And when the shots don't work, you feel like giving up.

Knowing your shots and your sequence changes that completely. It's a small change that means you walk in with a plan, move with purpose, and get the results you're stoked with. That's what this course actually gives you.

What changes when you know your sequence
  • Pointing and hoping
  • Three hours in the edit fighting footage that was never going to work
  • Watching it back and cringing
  • Not posting because it doesn't feel good enough
  • Walk in knowing your shots
  • Shoot faster. Edit faster. Story flows.
  • Make people feel something when they watch
  • Post it with confidence
The core idea
A movie technique.
Your visual story.
45 minutes.

Sequences are how every great film is built. Directors have used this framework forever. This course teaches you to apply it to anything you shoot: social content, brand videos, personal projects, docs.

Show, don't tell. That's the whole skill.
Speeds up your shoot
Speeds up your edit
Creates a story that immerses
This is what the skill does

Same camera.
Same location.
Different result.

The difference is knowing how to create a sequence so your shots do the heavy lifting to tell a visual story.

One shot. No story.
vs
A sequence.
Skip Netflix tonight
45 mins.
Binge this instead.

"I designed the lessons to be short, punchy, and straight to the point. I don't want you spending hours behind a screen. I want you out there filming sequences."

Option A: One sitting, start to finish
Option B: 15 minutes a day, three days
Real student. Real result.

What happens when
you apply it.

Shooting disconnected clips. No connected sequence. No plan for how it would come together. Average views: 2,000–5,000.

Boutique shoot. Walked in with a plan, nailed her opening shot for the hook. Her vision came alive. She shared it, and it became one of her best-performing pieces ever.

Sequences aren't about views. They're about connecting and immersing an audience in a visual story. The views are just what happens when you do that well.

"The engagement and feedback on this reel have honestly been amazing. It's probably the best-performing piece of content I've made so far."

Every lesson has a PDF guide. Download it, put it on your phone, take it on location.

How it's taught

You see the
whole process.

Every shooting lesson is filmed with three cameras at once. The main shot. The behind-the-scenes of the gear. A wide showing how I move through the space.

You're not watching a polished tutorial. You're watching it happen live, like you're in the room doing it with me.

Editing is taught in Final Cut Pro, but every technique works in CapCut, Premiere, and DaVinci. I walk you through my process so you can apply the same thinking in whatever software you already use.

"It's going to feel very much like a live-style setting. You're going to feel a part of this as we do it together."

Built from real students

Every lesson comes
from a real question.

This course is built from hundreds of real lessons and questions asked in live workshops, online cohorts, and DMs. I know exactly where people get stuck. I've seen it, and after enough lessons, there becomes a pattern.

Every lesson has been refined to cut to the chase. Short. Punchy. Straight to the point. I know your time is valuable and I don't want to waste a second of your 45 minutes. I actually want you to finish this and have a skill you're excited to use.

Bonus — The 1988 Collection

Colour grading that feels
like film stock.

Born in 1988. Inspired by nostalgia and built for modern film. The 1988 LUT Collection is included with the course — 11 cinematic LUTs built from the looks Bryan has refined over years of filmmaking. Drag the slider to see the difference.

The 1988 Collection

I grew up in an era without technology and long summer evenings spent outside. Each LUT is named after a piece of my childhood, a colour I can still remember, and the stories that shaped how I see the world today.

These don't just add colour. They evoke nostalgia, bring the warmth of memories, and help you tell a story. Included as a bonus with the course at no extra cost.

Real talk

The stuff you're
probably thinking.

"I don't have a proper camera."

Your phone is more than enough. Bryan teaches the process, not the gear. An iPhone shot with the right framing beats a mirrorless with no plan every time.

"I don't have time for a course."

45 minutes. That's the whole thing. Binge it in one sitting or 15 minutes a day. Either way you finish with a skill you can apply straight away.

"I've watched tutorials. Nothing stuck."

This isn't a tutorial. It's live. You learn by watching the real process, not a polished replay. The raw footage means you can practise immediately.

"I'm not technical enough."

Day 1 starts from scratch. If you can press record, you can do this. The PDF guides mean you're never lost on location.

"I don't know what to film."

That's exactly what this fixes. By the end of Day 1 you'll see sequences in any everyday moment: making coffee, packing a bag, a morning walk.

"Why does this matter right now?"

AI is flooding every feed with generated content. A handcrafted sequence with a real human behind it cuts through in a way nothing else does. This is how you stay human on screen.

Who it's for

Built for people who
show, not just tell.

Probably not for you if...
  • You already know how to plan and shoot a full sequence with coverage
  • You're looking for a full filmmaking course
  • You want shortcuts without building real skills
This is for you if...
  • You want to create visual stories but don't know where to start
  • You feel stuck, embarrassed, or unsure what to film
  • You're short on time and need something achievable
  • You want your videos to feel like a film, not random clips
  • You film yourself and want to do it with confidence
  • You're a creator, educator, or entrepreneur ready to level up

Bryan Hynes

"I didn't pick up a camera until I was 28 and spent most of my early 30s feeling like I was so far behind."

G'day. I'm Bryan.

I felt like I started late. I didn't get my first camera until I was 28, at a time when I was at my lowest and feeling like I just had to give this film thing a go. I spent years feeling behind, but I kept going. Gradually I got better, and I fell in love with making visual stories.

I documented people and places, freelanced my own projects around the world, worked in film and as a television presenter, and made a few documentaries before I ever started helping others with what I'd learnt.

I'm not your social media guru or "how to go viral" expert. I just know a thing or two about the art of visual stories and sequences. These days I run in-person workshops and online masterclasses teaching sequences and storytelling to regular people.

Whether you've started late like me and want to make up for lost time, or you just want to learn how to tell a visual story, I've got you. Every lesson in this course comes from lived experience. Real questions from real workshops, real projects, and things I've tested in my own content. I just want to share with you what actually works.

Because let me tell you, you've got this.

My mission: help regular people master visual storytelling with sequences and make it accessible to anyone, no matter the stage you're at.
